YORKSHIRE SUSTAINABILITY FESTIVAL

Introduction

Since 2023, Alrose Productions has proudly supported the Yorkshire Sustainability Festival (YSF), delivering innovative, eco-friendly solutions for this flagship multi-day conference. YSF brings together public and private stakeholders to explore sustainability issues.

Despite funding challenges, the goal was to create a high-impact event that aligned with the festival’s ethos of innovation and community engagement.

Challenges

The festival faced significant budget constraints while requiring innovative and sustainable solutions for multiple venues.

The client wanted a high-impact set, but the low ceilings at the venue meant we had to get creative with the design.

Attention to detail and streamlined logistics were critical to meeting expectations.

Solutions

  • A 6m x 2m stage made from repurposed pallet wood and adorned with greenery.
  • Recyclable branded materials, including carpets and graphic logos.

Technical and Logistical Solutions:

  • Versatile AV systems for staging, audio, screens, and breakout sessions.
  • Pop-up kitchen setups for live demonstrations, incorporating power and functional aesthetics.

Enhanced Aesthetics:

  • Hanging plants and vibrant branded flowers created an organic ambience. These plants were then replanted and repurposed afterwards- embodying the event’s ethos.

Results

The event captured widespread attention on social media and successfully aligned with its sustainability ethos.
